Hello, I'm Darryl. Welcome to the Cobb Architects, LLC website.
I have been in the architectural profession for over 20 years, and I established my firm in 2000. I am very passionate about architecture and every aspect of what I design. I like to be involved in a project from the first conceptual sketch through the construction process. Every detail matters and my firm is passionate about designing to the highest possible quality.
I absolutely love the fact that I make a living designing buildings and homes. To me, if the architecture is designed and constructed well it can be art; it is sculpture that you occupy. I love how people bring me ideas, photos and magazine clippings and I have the opportunity to design buildings that exceed their wildest expectations.
I have a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and I am a member of the American Institute of Architects, the National Council of Architectural Registration Board, and the Custom Residential Architects Network.
I would truly love the opportunity to talk to you about your new project.
Mary Cobb is my sweet mom. She is an integral part of my firm and has been since 2003. She brings much needed office management skills to my firm and handles EVERYTHING not design related. I am truly blessed to have her in charge of the things that architects are not good at doing.
Natalie graduated from Mississippi State University in 2005 with her Bachelor of Architecture. She honed her craft of drawing and custom detailing while working on all phases of custom homes, renovations, and boutique commercial projects for firms in Baltimore, Chicago, and Birmingham, Alabama. She has an excellent eye for design and is especially passionate about the experience of interior spaces. She is involved in projects from inception and produces virtually all of the CAD drawings. She has become an integral part of my firm.
Katie Bigbie was raised in Greenville, South Carolina. She graduated from Clemson University's School of Architecture with a Bachelors of Science in Design in 2003 and subsequently joined Cobb Architects. She has since worn many hats and been an important part of my firm's success. Katie thoroughly enjoys residential architecture and has a great sense of design, detail, and style. She is excellent at interior architecture and has an incredible knowledge of construction, so her ability to produce high quality construction drawings is outstanding.
