This new, southern cottage style home is located on the golf course on Daniel Island SC. These clients wanted to relocate to the Charleston area for the weather and the golf. They had a particular look they wanted and our solution was a 3,200 s.f. house with steep roof pitches, exposed rafter tails, lots of glass and French Doors that opened to the piazzas. One of the unique features I love about this house is the way we positioned the screen porch on the side of the house, providing privacy from neighbors. Additionally, by relocating the screen porch to the side of the house we were able to create its own room with a vaulted ceiling and a fireplace. This location allows light to filter into the house and the views of the golf course are unobstructed.
