Planted within the Beresford Hall community on the Wando River, this marsh front home is indicative of low country architecture with its metal roof, exposed rafter tails, and brackets. This house incorporates 10 feet deep rear porches that extend the living space out toward the marsh. Built in a flood zone, the house had be raised. This led us to design it as a story and half to reduce the scale and allow us to offer each room of the second floor uniquely vaulted ceilings.
